Tell us what is happening and a roofer will ring you back. If water is coming in now, call us instead.

We use your details only to deal with this enquiry.

Repairs, maintenance and prevention

Whatever the roof is doing, we fix it.

From one slipped slate to a full re felt, the same crews do the work, and every job gets photographs and a written note of what we found.

Leaks and emergency repairs

Water coming through a ceiling, a chimney breast or a roof light. We trace the cause, make it watertight and then fix it properly.

Report a leak →

Blocked gutters and downpipes

Gutters cleared, flushed and checked for falls, joints and brackets, so the water goes where it should instead of down your walls.

New seamless gutters →

Drainage

Blocked hoppers, split downpipes and gullies that back up in heavy rain. Cleared, repaired or replaced, with outlets sized for the roof.

Ask about drainage →

Re felting

Old bitumen felt that has perished under the slates, or a tired felt flat roof. Stripped back and re felted with breathable membrane.

Get a re felt quote →

Sealing and flashings

Lead and mortar flashings at chimneys, walls and roof lights re dressed, re pointed or sealed, where most leaks actually start.

Book a repair →

Slate and tile repairs

Slipped, cracked and missing slates replaced and matched, ridges and hips re bedded, valleys relined. Natural slate is the East Lancashire roof.

Maintenance and prevention

A planned check of slates, ridges, flashings and gutters before winter, with photographs, so small faults are fixed before they leak.

Roof insulation

Lofts topped up and failed flat roofs rebuilt as warm roofs. Flat roof insulation is our PAS 2030:2023 certified measure.

Drone roof surveys

We can inspect many roofs from the air, so you see close up photographs of the slates, ridge and chimney without a ladder or scaffold.

Problems we fix

Signs your roof needs a repair.

Most leaks start with something small. If you can see any of these from the street or the loft, call us before the next downpour.

Stock photographs (Unsplash), shown to illustrate common faults. They are not photographs of our customers’ homes.

How a call out works

Safe first. Fixed properly second.

An emergency visit stops the water. The permanent repair is quoted in writing once we can see the whole roof, so you are never pushed into a big job in the middle of a storm.

Step 1You call, day or night

In working hours you speak to our team. Out of hours our answering service takes your details and passes them straight to us.

Step 2We make it safe

Temporary cover, sheeting or a holding repair to stop the water and protect the inside of your home.

Step 3Photo report

Photographs and a written note of the cause and the damage, useful if you are making an insurance claim.

Step 4The proper repair

An itemised quote with access and making good included, then our crew carries out the permanent fix.

Drone roof surveys

See your whole roof without a ladder.

Many roof faults cannot be seen from the street. Where it is safe and permitted, we fly a camera drone over the roof and show you what we find.

  • Close up and complete. Slates, ridge, valleys, chimney stacks, flashings and the gutter line, photographed from above.
  • No scaffold to find the fault. Access is only arranged once we know what needs fixing.
  • Flown to a written policy. Daylight, sensible weather and a safe height, with an observer on every flight.
  • Your privacy respected. Footage is for your survey. Nothing is used anywhere else without your written agreement.

Maintenance and prevention

Most roof emergencies start as small jobs.

A blocked gutter becomes a damp wall, a cracked flashing becomes a ceiling stain. A planned visit once or twice a year catches them early.

Autumn

  • Gutters and hoppers cleared after leaf fall
  • Downpipes flushed and checked
  • Slates and ridges checked before winter

Winter

  • Inspection after named storms
  • Slipped slates refixed quickly
  • Emergency call out if water gets in

Spring

  • Moss and debris cleared
  • Flashings and pointing checked
  • Flat roof coverings inspected

Summer

  • Planned repairs and re felting
  • Insulation while the roof is open
  • New gutters fitted before autumn

Who we do it for

One roof, or fifteen.

The same crews and the same standards, whether it is a leaking flat roof over your kitchen or every roof on a housing scheme.

Homeowners

Most roofing calls start with a leak or a cold room under a flat roof. We survey first and tell you whether it is a repair, a new covering, or a warm roof that fixes the damp and the heat loss together.

  • Free survey and an itemised quote, with photographs of what we found
  • Repairs, replacement coverings and warm flat roofs, tiles lifted and reinstated at abutments
  • Scaffold, access and making good included in the price, not added later
  • Certificate and an insurance backed guarantee in your handover pack

Housing providers, councils and main contractors

Flat roof insulation is our PAS 2030 certified measure, which is what funded retrofit programmes need from the installer of record. We deliver it as a package, on our own or as a subcontractor to your principal contractor.

  • PAS 2030:2023 for flat roof insulation (measure B5) and TrustMark registration
  • Roof by roof survey and pricing, so the tender is measured, not estimated
  • Occupied homes as standard, with access planned and work photographed before, during and after
  • Sequenced so the trades that follow are not waiting on the roofs
  • Handover file for your retrofit coordinator

FAQs

Roof repair questions, answered

Can I call you out of hours?

Yes. Call 01200 407790 at any time, day or night. Out of hours our answering service takes your name, number and what is happening and sends it straight to our team, who get back to you. If water is getting in, we prioritise making the roof safe and watertight, then arrange the permanent repair.

What happens on an emergency call out?

We find where the water is getting in and stop it, with temporary cover, sheeting or a holding repair. You get photographs and a note of what we found, then a written quote for the permanent repair. You are not asked to agree a big job on the night.

Will you help with my insurance claim?

We cannot deal with your insurer for you, but our photographs and written report of the cause and the damage are the evidence most insurers ask for. Check your policy and tell your insurer as soon as you can.

Repair or replace?

If the covering is sound and the deck is dry, a repair is the honest answer and we will say so. When a roof is beyond repair, the survey photographs show you why before you commit to anything.

Do you clear and repair gutters?

Yes. We clear, flush and repair gutters, hoppers and downpipes, and check the falls and brackets. If they keep failing, we can replace them with seamless aluminium guttering.

What is a drone roof survey?

We fly a camera drone over the roof to photograph the slates, ridge, chimney and gutters close up, without a ladder or scaffold. We fly in daylight and sensible weather, and footage is only used for your survey unless you agree otherwise in writing.

Can you insulate the roof while you are up there?

Often, yes. A failed flat roof can be rebuilt as a warm roof, which fixes the leak and the heat loss together, and flat roof insulation is our PAS 2030:2023 certified measure. See flat roof insulation in East Lancashire.

Which areas do you cover?

Our roofing work is centred on East Lancashire and the Ribble Valley: Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, Darwen, Clitheroe, Nelson, Colne, Rossendale and the towns around them. The 24 hour emergency line covers the rest of Lancashire.

Do you work for housing providers and contractors?

Yes. We repair, maintain and insulate roofs across housing stock, and work as a subcontractor on retrofit programmes. See retrofit sub contracting.

Water coming in? Call us now.

Our 24 hour emergency line covers the whole of Lancashire. For anything less urgent, request a call back and a roofer will ring you.
