Loft Insulation
By properly insulating your loft, you will see dramatic savings in your heating bills and reduce heat loss.
Learn more →A warm roof puts the insulation above the deck, so the whole structure stays on the warm side and the risk of condensation in the timbers goes away with the heat loss. We strip back, deck, insulate, lay a single ply membrane and form the kerbs and outlets properly. Where a flat roof meets a pitched slope we lift the tiles, run the build up under them and reinstate. Up to a quarter of a home’s heat can be lost through an uninsulated flat roof, which is why extensions, dormers and garage roofs are so often the cold room in the house.
The same crews, the same warm roof build up and the same paperwork, whether it is the extension at the back of your house or every flat roof on a housing scheme.
Extension roofs, dormers, garages and porches. The rooms under them are the cold ones in winter and the hot ones in summer, and a warm roof fixes both.
Flat roof insulation is our PAS 2030 certified measure, which is what funded retrofit programmes need from the installer of record. We deliver it as a package, on our own or as a subcontractor to your principal contractor.

Torentum Court is Regenda Homes’ independent living scheme in Fleetwood, and the roofs were the first package in a £700,000 energy efficiency programme. We surveyed each roof, priced them individually, rebuilt all fifteen as warm roofs and lifted and reinstated 179 metres of tiles where they meet the pitched sections, under our PAS 2030 certification for flat roof insulation.
A garage, a rear extension and an L shaped wraparound, each rebuilt as a warm roof with 140 mm of PIR above the joists, a new OSB deck and an EPDM rubber finish. One or two days each, every layer photographed, and an Insurance Backed Guarantee issued by Energy Giants on completion.

Vapour control layer, 140 mm of PIR, new OSB deck, EPDM rubber and new fascias, between lunchtime and teatime.

Keep the warmth inside your home where it belongs, with a properly insulated flat roof.
Less heat escaping means less energy needed to keep your home warm, saving you money year round.
Proper insulation prevents moisture build up, protecting your property from damp and mould damage.
Insulation protects the roof membrane from thermal stress, helping your flat roof last longer.
Free at your home. On a scheme, every roof measured and photographed, so the price is per roof, not per guess.
The warm roof build up specified for your roof: insulation thickness, membrane, kerbs, outlets and abutments. An itemised quote for a home, a measured package for a tender.
Our own crews, one to two days on a house, sequenced by roof on a scheme with residents at home and access agreed in advance.
Every roof inspected and photographed before, during and after, which is what the PAS 2030 flat roof insulation standard and your retrofit coordinator expect.
Certificates, photographs and an insurance backed guarantee in the handover pack, for you or for the client’s file.

Insulation boards applied to a flat roof to prevent heat loss. High performance insulation is fitted to the top of the roof structure, creating a thermal barrier that keeps warmth inside your home.
Typically one to two days for a single home. On a scheme we programme roof by roof and agree access in advance, so residents stay in their homes throughout.
Minimal visual change, insulation is covered by the roof membrane. Once completed, the roof looks much the same as before, with all insulation hidden beneath the waterproof covering.
40+ years with proper installation. Our high performance insulation boards are designed to last the lifetime of your roof, providing decades of thermal protection and energy savings.
Yes. Flat roof insulation is the measure we deliver most often for housing providers and main contractors, on our own or as a subcontractor. Torentum Court in Fleetwood is the worked example: fifteen roofs for Regenda Homes, residents at home, delivered as the first package of a wider programme. See the case study or our sub contracting page.
Yes, for flat roof insulation, measure B5, certificate SICI23052 P2030 1 held by Efficient Energy Systems Ltd, and we are TrustMark registered. PAS 2030 is the standard government funded retrofit requires from the installer of each measure. We say exactly what our certificate covers on the accreditations page.
Warm roof, almost always. The insulation goes above the deck, so the timbers stay on the warm side and there is no cold void to ventilate or to collect condensation. A cold roof, with insulation between the joists, only makes sense where the roof height cannot change and ventilation can be guaranteed. We will tell you which at the survey.
Sometimes. If the existing covering is sound and the deck is dry, an overlay can work. Usually a flat roof old enough to need insulation also needs a new membrane, and doing both at once is cheaper than doing them a few years apart. The survey settles it, and we say so honestly if the roof is fine as it is.
