We may use a small camera drone to look at your roof, so nobody has to climb up just to survey it. This is what that means for you and your neighbours.
When you book a survey we tell you if we may use a drone, and you can say no. We will survey another way, and it will not affect your quote.
Our policy requires every pilot to hold a CAA Flyer ID and follow the CAA Drone Code, with an observer beside them, in daylight and suitable weather. Every flight must be covered by third party liability insurance.
The camera points at your roof, not into gardens or windows. We record only when we need to, and delete or blur anything we pick up by accident.
We may use photos, footage and video from our surveys and installations in our marketing, on our website, social media and in brochures. We only use footage of your home if you agree in writing.
No address, house number, number plate or face without written agreement. We name the town, never the street, and never your name or what you paid.
Call 01200 407790 or email hello@energygiants.co.uk. We take it down from our website and our own social media accounts within 10 working days and do not use it in anything new. We cannot recall printed material already handed out.
Our full Drone Flying Policy, including the risk assessment and method statement our crews follow on site, is available on request. Ask us and we will email it to you the same working day.
We would rather hear about a problem early. This is the route, in order.
Ring 01200 407790 or email hello@energygiants.co.uk. We log it, acknowledge it and give you a named contact. Most issues are resolved at this stage.
If you are not satisfied, our complaints procedure sets out the written stages and timescales in writing. Ask us for a copy and we will email it the same working day.
For solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and renewables generally, contact us first and we will handle it through our complaints procedure, which follows the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. Insulation and heating work is also covered by TrustMark, which gives you an independent route if we cannot resolve it between us. Our certificates and their scopes are on the accreditations page.
We're committed to transparency. If you have any questions, get in touch with our team.
