Flat Roof Insulation
Proper insulation of flat roofs reduces energy loss and improves thermal comfort.
Learn more →Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) involves fitting insulated boards to the inside surfaces of external walls. Using the solid wall insulation system, we create a thermal barrier that dramatically reduces heat loss in solid walled properties. Up to 45% of heat can escape through uninsulated solid walls.
The same crews, the same specification and the same paperwork, whether it is your house or every home on a housing provider’s programme.
A free survey, an itemised quote and a straight answer, including when the job is not worth doing. Then our own crew, and a certificate at the end.
We deliver this measure as a package for funded retrofit programmes, on our own or as a subcontractor to your principal contractor, with the assessment and coordination done by our own people.
“Energy Giants played a pivotal role in over 100 installations for Next Energy, Internal Wall Insulation, Room in Roof and Flat Roof Insulation. Their commitment to excellence and quality workmanship contributed significantly to the success of our projects.”
Internal wall insulation is where a programme succeeds or fails with residents, because the work is inside their home. Our crews have done it at volume for an energy supplier, and our retrofit assessment and coordination are done in house, which is how the Aspire Housing programme reached band C on every home in its first year.
Internal wall insulation is fitted to the inside face of your external walls to cut heat loss and lift the energy performance of your home.

In some solid walled homes, close to half the heat lost escapes straight out through the walls. Insulating them is one of the most effective upgrades you can make.
A properly insulated wall holds warmth inside through winter and helps rooms stay cooler in summer, so your home is more comfortable all year round and costs less to run.
Internal wall insulation is the answer for properties with solid walls that have no cavity to fill. That includes homes built from brick, stone, steel frame or timber frame.
We fit a thermal layer to your existing internal walls and finish it with plasterboard. The result is better energy performance, steadier comfort, lower heating costs and fewer carbon emissions.

Our work does not stop when the insulation is in. We plaster the walls, then refit skirting boards, architraves and windowsills so the room is left properly finished.
You get the thermal upgrade without being handed a decorating job to sort out afterwards.
We install the SWIP internal wall insulation system, BBA certified (18/5506) for existing solid and older cavity walls.
Insulated studs are screwed to the masonry, with mineral wool batts between them, so the frame insulates as well as the infill. On a 9 inch brick wall, the 95 mm system takes the U-value from 2.1 to 0.29.

Every product we use in an internal wall insulation installation is BBA certified by the British Board of Agrement, and your installation is covered by a 25 year guarantee.
We assess your solid walled property to determine the best IWI approach for each room.
We carefully prepare each room, protecting furniture and flooring before work begins.
Certified insulation boards are precisely fitted to the internal surfaces of your external walls.
Walls are plastered and finished to a high standard, ready for decoration.
Every job is inspected for quality, and you receive full certification with your 25 year guarantee.

Internal wall insulation (IWI) involves fitting insulated boards to the inside surfaces of your external walls. It is the ideal solution for solid walled properties that cannot have cavity wall insulation, creating a thermal barrier that keeps heat inside your home.
SWIP is the BBA certified internal wall insulation system we install. Insulated SWIP Studs are fixed to the wall, SWIP EcoBatt mineral wool goes between them, and a sealed vapour control layer and plasterboard finish it. Our SWIP system guide covers it layer by layer.
The insulation boards are relatively thin, typically reducing the room by only a few centimetres on each insulated wall. The energy savings and comfort improvements far outweigh the minimal space reduction.
Installation time depends on the number of rooms being insulated. Typically, a single room can be completed in 1 to 2 days, including board fitting, plastering, and finishing. Our team works efficiently to minimise disruption.
Yes. Internal wall insulation is one of the measures we have delivered at volume, including over a hundred installs for Next Energy alongside room in roof and flat roof work, and we are principal delivery partner on Aspire Housing’s whole house programme. See the Aspire case study or our sub contracting page.
Not until the damp is dealt with. Insulating over a wet wall traps the moisture and makes it worse, which is why every survey looks at where the water is coming from first, and why ventilation is part of the design, not an afterthought. We will say so plainly if a wall needs drying or repairing before it is insulated.
Funding changes often, so ask us for the current position. As of September 2026 the Warm Homes: Local Grant, run through councils, funds insulation for eligible lower income households, and social landlords have the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund. We deliver under these programmes for councils and landlords, and we will tell a homeowner honestly whether they are likely to qualify.
