Cavity wall insulation involves injecting insulation material into the gap (cavity) between the two layers of brick that make up your external walls. This fills the void and prevents heat from escaping through the walls.

Slumped or wet fill shows up as cold patches, damp at the base of walls and condensation the household gets blamed for. The fix is not more insulation on top. We extract the old material through drilled points, check the cavity is clear and dry, deal with the cause, then refill to specification. It is the bulk of our council work and we do it for private homes too.
Funding changes often, so ask us for the current position. As of September 2026 the Warm Homes: Local Grant, run through councils, funds insulation for eligible lower income households, and social landlords have the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund. We deliver under these programmes for councils and landlords, and we will tell a homeowner honestly whether they are likely to qualify.
