# Accessibility Statement

Energy Giants is committed to making our website accessible to all users, regardless of ability. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard and continue to improve the accessibility of our site.

## What we have implemented

We have taken the following steps to ensure our website is accessible:

- Used semantic HTML throughout the site to provide a logical structure that works well with screen readers and assistive technologies
- Added descriptive alt text to all images so their content and purpose is conveyed to users with visual impairments
- Ensured full keyboard navigation is available across all pages, allowing users to navigate and interact with the site without a mouse
- Applied colour contrast ratios that meet WCAG AA standards to make text legible for users with low vision
- Structured headings hierarchically to help users navigate content and understand page structure
- Made form fields clearly labelled and easy to complete
- Designed responsive layouts that work well on mobile devices and can be zoomed without loss of functionality

## Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations currently exist:

- Some PDF documents on our site may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these and can provide alternative formats upon request
- Videos do not currently have captions in all cases. We are actively adding captions to video content
- Some legacy pages may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards. We are prioritising improvements to these areas
