Because the charger, the inverter and the battery share one system and one app, the car can be filled with surplus solar first, topped up overnight on a cheap rate, and stopped before the house overloads.
A wall mounted smart charger, up to 22 kW on a three phase supply. Most UK homes are single phase, where a home AC charger runs at around 7 kW. IP65, IK10 glass, works down to minus 30 degrees. The PEN fault protection the UK wiring regulations require is built in, so no separate device is needed.
A 25 kW charging module that stacks into SigenStor. DC goes from the panels and the battery into the car without a conversion step, and the module is bidirectional, ready for vehicle to home and vehicle to grid on cars that support it.
Surplus solar only, battery boost, fast charge and an AI mode that follows a dynamic tariff, charging when prices are low and pausing when they are high. Schedules are set in the mySigen app.
| Fitted where | AC: on the wall by the drive, works with any Sigenergy system or none. DC: inside a SigenStor stack, so the car parks near the battery |
|---|---|
| Power | AC: up to 22 kW three phase; about 7 kW on a typical single phase home supply. DC: up to 25 kW |
| Two way charging | AC: no. DC: vehicle to home and vehicle to grid, limited by what the car supports |
| Load management | AC: adjusts charging to household load with the Sigen Power Sensor, and switches between single and three phase. DC: managed by the SigenStor energy manager |
| Protection | AC: IP65, IK10, integrated PEN breaker for BS 7671 Section 722. DC: IP66 |

Vehicle to home lets a parked car run the house in a power cut or through the evening peak. The SigenStor EV DC module is built for it. Whether your car can do it depends on the car: Sigenergy publishes the models it has tested, and most so far are outside the UK. We check your model before we recommend paying for the DC module on that basis.
Every EV can charge from either charger. Solar first charging works with both.
Needs a supported car and the DC module. Software updates add models as they are verified.
Depends on the car and on a UK supplier offering a scheme. We will tell you when it is real for your car.
Yes. Both chargers can run in a surplus solar mode, so the car takes what the house is not using instead of exporting it. With SigenStor the battery can boost the charge as well.
No. The AC charger switches between single and three phase. On a single phase supply it charges at around 7 kW, the usual home figure. The DC module charges at up to 25 kW, subject to your supply and the network operator’s agreement.
Few cars on UK roads do yet. Sigenergy lists the vehicles it has tested on its DC charger page, and we check your make and model at survey.
Yes, the AC charger works on its own. It gets the most from solar when it is part of a Sigenergy system, because the charger and the inverter share data.
Yes. Chargers and batteries need notifying to the network operator, and larger loads need approval first. We do the paperwork as part of the install.
